casino royale

Upon my friends' invitation, I decided to go watch the new 007 movie Casino Royale. To be honest, I really liked the new James Bond. He's a great actor, he's handsome and above all...he's awesome. It is against my will to post a spoiler here, so I will let you imagine about the movie which was quite entertaining. This was supposedly a prequel to all the Bond movies in the past, when he was promoted to the 00 status.

Roppongi Hills was quite beautiful as well, filled with LED illumination. I have always favored its illumination as well and have visited it at this time of the year for 4 consecutive years since its opening.

We had lunch at an Irish bar in the complex and talked about various matters there, nibbling on fish and chips. The movie was great...thanx for the invitation. I hope we can visit London again next September...200,000 yen will be my goal.

seminar

Have you been wondering why this blog wasn't updated yesterday? The reason is simple: I fell asleep at around 9 last night. Usually, when I drowse off at that time of the day, I am usually awaken by unexpected disturbances (i.e. incoming mails or msn messages), but yesterday was not the case. I slept all the way through until noon, when I had to begin preparing for the big day.

As you may know, today was the day of seminar registration for Law students. I am not sure whether a class equivalent to "seminar" in Keio exists in other universities abroad, but here in Keio University, a "seminar" is a class which you participate for 2 years, learning off a single professor. Based on what you learned, you also discuss various problems on themes that professor specializes in. Thus, it is the most interactive and important class we go through in our junior and senior years.

In addition to the registration procedure, the seminar I applied to had interviews today as well and it took 3 hours for them to finish imposing all the questioning and stuff. I personally thought that the questions were rather unique, however, I am puzzled as well since I am unable to figure out the intentions that loom behind them.

Nevertheless, I think I was able to boldly answer all the questions asked and the papers I handed in prior to the interviews should have an acceptable quality as well. The members I interacted in the waiting room were nice and I am looking forward to studying with these mates. If everything goes as planned, I should have the result by the end of next week.

A favorable result will add on a Seminar Christmas Party to my schedule. An unfavorable result will add on a lot of complex procedures that are necessary for secondary registration. Obviously, I am wishing the former for myself and all the fellows that were present today. See you soon...hopefully.
